Blackmagic Design DeckLink SDI
Blackmagic Design DeckLink SDIDeckLink SDI
If you're looking for an SDI only solution that's perfect for use with SDI decks, or in large facilities with SDI routers, then DeckLink SDI gives you incredible quality SD/HD-SDI capture and playback on any PCI Express Windows or Intel-based Mac Pro computer. The world’s smallest and most affordable 10 bit SDI video card works in both SD and HD and includes blackburst, tri-sync reference input, 8 channels of SDI embedded audio and RS422 deck control. DeckLink SDI is perfect when combined with routers such as Broadcast Videohub, SDI monitoring such as HDLink and video converters such as Blackmagic Design's Mini Converter range.
Application Compatibility
DeckLink SDI is an ideal solution for video software. Intel Mac OS X™ compatible software includes Final Cut Pro™, Premiere Pro®, After Effects®, Photoshop®, Motion™, Combustion™, iDVD™, DVD Studio Pro™, Color Finesse™, Cleaner™, and many more. Windows™ compatible software includes Premiere Pro®, After Effects®, Photoshop®, Encore DVD® and many more.
Access VANC Blanking Data
Capture and playback any line of blanking, using any of the top three lines of your media file. This lets you store test signals, timecode, subtitles and many other custom types of data.
Real Time Effects with Final Cut Pro
Many exciting real time effects are included with the DeckLink. These include Cross Dissolve, Non Additive Dissolve, Additive Dissolve, Fade in Fade out, Dip to Color, Sepia, Desaturate, Brightness and Contrast, Proc Amp, Tint, Gamma Correction and 3 way color correction. DeckLink cards are fully compatible with Final Cut Pro™ RT Extreme built-in effects for unlimited possibilities.
NTSC, PAL 720HD and 1080HD
DeckLink cards have been designed to instantly switch between NTSC (USA and Japan) and PAL ( Europe and Asia), as well as all 720HD and 1080HD standards. SDI and analog connections switch easily between NTSC, PAL and all HD television standards. With a simple change of your settings you can have NTSC, PAL and HD media files on the same disk.
Chrysalis
A compelling thriller by author, Ray Bradbury, Chrysalis was produced by Roger Lay, Jr., and edited by Cheyenne Pesko. Using a tapeless workflow and DeckLink HD Extreme, Chrysalis depicts an isolated group of scientists searching for new ways to sustain life and save the planet Earth.
10:1 Cost Advantage
Traditional systems for editing and design in post production and broadcast are sold as a complete system, so you have no choice in the components or even what software and storage you can use. With DeckLink cards and Multibridge based systems, you can choose your favorite software and still have complete compatibility. The big advantage is software and hardware vendors compete to give you the highest quality, more features and the lowest possible price.
Metalocalypse
The extremely popular animated series on Adult Swim/Cartoon Network, and a huge hit with the male 18-34 segment, Metalocalypse takes HD into a whole new world. According to Chris Prynoski, "You can see so much more delicious animated goodness on your fancy new TV set..."
Frame Accurate
DeckLink SDI Editing systems based on Final Cut Pro™ or Premiere Pro using DeckLink, may be inexpensive but they're certainly professional. Editors demand frame accurate batch capture and perfect AV sync!
Uncompressed Video Quality
SDI uses a higher data rate than DV, so it’s got the speed to handle full resolution video in standard definition or high definition, completely uncompressed. That means you can preserve video quality until you need to compress the video, such as the final compression pass for streaming or broadcast.
Insert Automatic Titles
Use LiveKey with DeckLink’s SD keying mode to automatically output fill and key using the SDI video outputs. LiveKey has an automatic mode that lets you fade graphics up and down with programmable times. It's great for dubbing bugs and 'not for broadcast' messages.
Archiving
DeckLink SDI Eliminate the dangers of archiving on tape formats that can be obsoleted over time. By archiving your work onto disk with DeckLink, your work is online whenever you need to view it. File formats such as QuickTime™ and AVI have been around for longer than many current tape formats and are great for archiving.
Most Affordable
All DeckLink cards are built in house with our high speed multi million dollar SMT manufacturing facility, for dramatically lower cost and higher quality products. You always get the latest technology with passed on savings, so your DeckLink SDI is even more affordable.
