Deliver anywhere
Matrox RT.X10 HW lets you quickly and easily deliver your videos
on tape. It also includes Matrox MediaExport for hardware-accelerated
simultaneous batch encoding of DVD, SVCD, VCD and web formats with
multiple resolutions, bit rates, and frame rates..
Ligos GoMotion technology, incorporated into the Matrox MediaExport
plug-in for Matrox RT.X10 HW, lets you perform high-quality MPEG-1 and
MPEG-2 compression. MPEG-1 is ideal for VCD and CD projects since it
allows you to put up to one hour of video on a CD and can be exported
from Adobe Premiere Pro at faster-than-realtime speeds. MPEG-2 is used
for SVCD and DVD creation.
What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) video output support for
DirectShow-based applications also lets you use RT.X10 HW to watch video
files, such as MPEG, DivX and AVI, on your TV using Windows Media Player
and record them to tape at the same time. Note that WMV files are not
compatible.
Deliver on tape
RT.X10 HW lets you record your finished productions to analog or DV
tape.
Analog tape
You can record your program to VHS or S-VHS tape in real time,
without rendering, using the composite or Y/C output from the RT.X10
breakout cable.
DV tape
You can record your program over the 1394 connection to DV and DVCAM
devices. Matrox RT.X10 HW will output to DV tape directly from the
Adobe Premiere Pro timeline, in real time, when the timeline
consists of straight cuts. If you have effects on your timeline,
those parts of your project must be rendered and compressed back to
DV. On RT.X10 HW this happens in near real time thanks to Matrox
TurboDV, and you'll only have to do it once, at the very end of your
production. Matrox TurboDV is a scalable software-based DV export
engine that takes advantage of the power of your computer the
faster your CPU, the faster the export. |
Deliver on Video CD (VCD), and Super Video CD
(SVCD)
Instead of recording your video to tape, use the CD burner in your
computer to create a VCD or SVCD. Then just pop it into the DVD
player in your living room, sit back, and enjoy. VCDs and SVCDs will
play in most set-top DVD players. They look just as good as VHS
tapes, take less storage space, and cost only a few cents each.

To put your video on a VCD or SVCD, all you need to do is encode it,
then burn it on a standard CD.
Matrox MediaExport lets you export projects directly from the
Premiere Pro Timeline into MPEG-1 files for VCD and MPEG-2 files for
SVCD. You can work with a wide selection of convenient presets, or
customize advanced settings for fine control over advanced options.
Most CD burners come with software that will allow you to not only
copy CDs and make data or audio CDs, but also create VCDs and SVCDs.
You just drag and drop your encoded file and start the recording
process. It's that simple! |

Deliver on DVD
DVDs deliver full-screen, full-motion video, crystal-clear digital
sound, crisp color graphics, and a rich interactive experience for
the viewer. Now, with low cost DVD burners on the market, DVD
production is more accessible to everyone. RT.X10 HW greatly
simplifies the DVD creation process by integrating audio and video
acquisition, realtime editing, graphics creation, MPEG-2 encoding,
DVD authoring, and pre-mastering in a single, affordable system.

You create your
DVD video and audio by exporting your project directly from the
Adobe Premiere Pro timeline into DVD-compliant MPEG-2 using
Matrox MediaExport. Your MPEG-2 video and audio files can then
be used in the Adobe Encorer DVD authoring package, where you
will create menus to provide navigation and include audio and
graphic ele-ments for a complete DVD. When you are ready to test
your DVD, you can build it into a DVD Volume (files on your
hard-disk). Once you're satisfied with your project, you can
burn it directly to a DVD-R.

Deliver to the web
As more and more people have access to high-speed internet
connections, web streaming is becoming an interesting new way to
deliver your video to a vast new audience, as well as your family
and friends. Once you've finished editing your video project, the
next step in getting it onto the web is to convert it to a web video
format.
Matrox MediaExport lets you simultaneously export Windows Media and
RealMedia files with multiple resolutions, bit rates, and frame
rates optimized for use with any internet connection speed
high-bandwidth or dial-up.
The final step in getting your project to the web is to transfer it
to either a web server or a streaming video server for viewing.
free web video
hosting
Use the web to share your video productions with family and friends
or the general public.
www.matrox.tv is
a free video hosting site available to all registered Matrox video
products users. You can use the site to quickly upload your projects
to a public area for all to see or to a private, password-protected
area for just your selected guests. The link and the password can be
sent to one or many viewers, anywhere in the world, so they can
watch your video on demand. While watching, viewers can leave
messages that are then e-mailed to you. |
